ABOUT US
The history of Belmara’s shelties began in 1985 when Jostein’s parents had the first litter ever registered under this prefix. It would take another 22 years before the second Belmara litter was born, but this time with him as the breeder. In the end of 2013 Maria joined the kennel, and Hanne joined in 2020.
Our aim is to breed sound and healthy shelties of excellent breed type and we hope to do so for many years to come.
Jostein lives in Oslo and works as a senior adviser at the Norwegian Agriculture Agency. Been involved in shelties since he got his first puppy in 2002. First litter in 2005.
Maria lives in Sveio in western Norway together with her family of four. Works as an adviser in the municipal administration in Karmøy. Been involved in shelties since she got her first puppy in 2010. Joined the kennel in 2013.
Hanne lives in Oslo and works as a veterinarian at the animal hospital EMPET Skedsmo. Been involved in shelties since she got her first puppy in 2011. Joined the kennel in 2020.
